Exterior Detailing & Decontamination

More than simply washing your vehicle.

Even after a thorough wash, contaminants can remain bonded to the paintwork, wheels, glass and other exterior surfaces. Our Exterior Detailing & Decontamination service is designed to thoroughly clean the vehicle and remove contamination that regular washing alone cannot.

What can the service include?

The process is adapted to the condition and needs of each vehicle and may include:

• Thorough exterior cleaning
• Wheels, tyres and wheel arches
• Door shuts and difficult-to-reach areas
• Engine bay detailing
• Exterior glass
• Chemical paint decontamination
• Removal of iron contamination, tar and other bonded deposits
• Mechanical decontamination when required
• Cleaning of exterior plastics, trims and other surfaces

The objective isn’t to perform unnecessary steps. We assess the vehicle and use the appropriate processes according to its actual condition.

What is paint decontamination?

A vehicle can look clean while its paintwork is still contaminated.

Brake dust, iron particles, road contamination, tar and other deposits can bond to the surface and may not be removed through normal washing.

Decontamination targets these deposits, leaving the surface properly cleaned and significantly smoother while preparing it for any further treatment.

What won’t this service fix?

This is an important distinction.

Decontamination cleans the paint — it does not correct it.

Scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, sanding marks and other defects within the paintwork cannot simply be washed or decontaminated away.

For these defects, the vehicle may require Paint Correction.

Likewise, cleaning and decontamination should not be confused with long-term protection. If protection is required, we can advise on the appropriate solution after assessing the vehicle.

Proper cleaning and decontamination allow us to see the true condition of the vehicle.

From there, we can determine whether the vehicle simply needed a thorough reset or whether further work, such as Paint Correction or Ceramic Protection, would genuinely benefit it.
